As I gear up for the Kansas State Outdoor Championship on June 13 & 14 of 2015, I find the desire to shoot 50 yards more and more. I know there will be at least 1 shot at 80 yards and that I will need to pay careful attention to the forest ceiling to ensure leaves an branches don’t force my shot astray. The open range is so easy compared to field or hunter archery tournaments sponsored by the NFAA. I know the solution… it’s called more practice. If that doesn’t work, buying a new bow should do the trick.
As irrigators lead water where they want, as archers make their arrows straight, as carpenters carve wood, the wise shape their minds. –Hindu Prince Gautama Siddharta
